About Us

Our founders learned first-hand the hardships encountered by families of disabled children.

Having a daughter with both cerebral palsy and dystonia was not only heartbreaking for the parents but financially troublesome as well. While the state provided some vital resources there were requirements that were far beyond those.

 

For some families with limited income their ability

to help their children is almost impossible.

For this reason, the founders of Downeast Artists created a vehicle in which to raise funds and help low-income families that need financial aid to complement other assistance they may be getting.

 

By selling beautiful quality prints of Maine, funds can be raised through donations and these funds will be given directly to families that apply. Expanding marketing to other venues and enjoining other Maine artists to help this cause will increase both the awareness of our mission and enlarge the funds available for financial aid to families.
